Monsieur de Pourceaugnac is a 1985 French drama film directed by Michel Mitrani that is based on the 1669 play of the same name by Molière. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1985 Cannes Film Festival.[1]

Reception
The film was described as "a attempt not without elegance to adapt" Molière's play.[3] Cinéma wrote that Mitrani had "used various techniques to solve the problem of adaptation, and his film [was] pleasantly striking in its modernism".[4]
