Monish Bhalla is an Indian author,[1] businessperson and Columnist known for his expertise in Goods and Services Tax (GST), Customs, and NDPS laws. Over his career, he has authored over 20 books, published more than 600 articles, and made extensive media appearances on various television channels as a law expert in issues such as taxation, law, and drug control.[2] He is the son of Punjabi poet Harbans Bhalla who has wriiten one of the most longest literary pieces in Punjabi literature Peelay Pattar.[3]

Monish Bhalla's career with India's Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) provided experience in drug enforcement, Goods and Services Tax (GST)[4] and customs regulations. Ahead of GST's implementation in India, Bhalla authored GST: The Game Changer (2015), an analysis of the tax system's potential impact on the Indian economy.[5] Additionally, he also developed one of India's first smartphone-based GST certification courses, in collaboration with Mizoram University.[6]
