Radio station in Beirut From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mix FM Lebanon (104.4 - 104.7 MHz FM) is a radio station serving Beirut, Zahle, and Lebanon. The radio station's studios are located in Beirut. It is owned by Lebanese DJ Rodge (Roger Saad), and was first broadcast on 23 February 1996.[1]
These songs hit #1 on Mix FM's Top 100 Songs:
The station stopped producing its annual Top 100 Songs list after 2019 due to the cancellation of its live shows and a shift to automated programming. This operational change resulted in the discontinuation of the Top 100 Songs feature, which had been a significant part of Mix FM’s programming.[citation needed]
Mix FM has experienced significant management and scheduling challenges. The primary issue arose when the owner, who is also a DJ, shifted focus to his DJ career. This shift in focus led to the cancellation of all live and acquired shows on the station. Additionally, the station's traditional practice of having a host provide news and commentary between songs has also ceased, leaving the station to air only automated music without live presentation.
Consequently, the quality of the station's livestream deteriorated, and song names were removed from both the livestream and FM broadcasts. Furthermore, the station's promotional sweepers have not been updated since 2019.
