Mihaela Cambei (born 18 November 2002)[1] is a Romanian weightlifter. She won the silver medal in the women's 49 kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris, France. In 2023, she won the gold medal in the women's 49 kg event at the European Weightlifting Championships held in Yerevan, Armenia.[2] She also won the gold medal in her event at the 2024 European Weightlifting Championships held in Sofia, Bulgaria.

In 2018, Cambei won the bronze medal in the 48 kg event at the Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.[3][4][5]
At the 2019 European Junior & U23 Weightlifting Championships held in Bucharest, Romania, she won the silver medal in the women's junior 49 kg event in the Snatch, Clean & Jerk and Total.[6] In 2021, Cambei won the bronze medal in the women's 49 kg event at the European Weightlifting Championships held in Moscow, Russia.[7] She also won the silver medal in her event at the Junior World Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.[8]
Cambei won the gold medal in her event at the 2022 European Junior & U23 Weightlifting Championships held in Durrës, Albania.[9]
Cambei won the silver medal in the women's 49 kg Snatch event at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships held in Bogotá, Colombia.[10][11] She won the gold medal in the women's 49 kg event at the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships held in Yerevan, Armenia.[2][12] She also won the gold medals in the Snatch and Clean & Jerk events.[12] Cambei won the bronze medal in the women's 49 kg Snatch event at the 2023 World Weightlifting Championships held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.[13]
In August 2024, Cambei competed in the women's 49 kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris, France.[14] She lifted 93 kg in the Snatch placing first provisionally.[14] She later lifted 112 kg in Clean & Jerk which resulted in the second-place finish behind China's Hou Zhihui who was 1 kg ahead in total.[14]
In 2025, Cambei won the gold medal in the women's 49 kg event at the European Weightlifting Championships held in Chișinău, Moldova.[15] She won gold medals in the Snatch and Clean & Jerk events, lifting a total of 190 kg.[15] At the 2025 World Weightlifting Championships held in Førde, Norway, Cambei competed in the women's 53 kg event and won the silver medal in the total with 208 kg.[16] She also won the gold medal in the Snatch, setting the European record with 94 kg, and the silver medal in the Clean & Jerk events.[16]
