Biography

Uhden was born on 6 March 1892 in Coburg, Germany.^[2] She was part of the German Expressionist movement.^[3] She was married to fellow painter Georg Schrimpf.^[4] She died on 14 August 1918 in Munich.^[2]

Her work is in the collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art,^[5] the Metropolitan Museum of Art,^[6] the Museum of Modern Art,^[3] the National Gallery of Art,^[7] and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco^[4]
