Marco Strano is an Italian criminologist and former police lieutenant who is best known for his research about the Chico Forti case.[1][2][3]

Biography
Strano attended the Carabinieri special forces of antiterrorism, antimafia and the secret service (SISDE) on criminal profiling.[4] He investigated ties between mafia clans and football ultras fans.[5] After retirement he became a criminologist.[1] He contributed as advisor to the film Winter Harvest about the kidnapping of US general James Lee Dozier by terrorist group Brigate Rosse. [6]
Chico Forti case
Strano is best known for his research on the Chico Forti case.[7] His enquiry on Chico Forti 's criminal activity sparkled criticism as Italy's Prime minister Giorgia Meloni welcomed Chico Forti.[8][9][3]
