Marcia Richardson

Marcia Maureen Bailey née Richardson (born 10 February 1972) is a female retired athlete from England, who specialised in the sprinting events^[1] and competed at two Olympic Games.^[2]

Biography

Richardson represented Great Britain at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1996, as well as four World Championships. She represented England in the 100 and 200 metres and won a bronze medal in the 4 x 100 metres relay event, at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.^[3][4][5]

Richardson became the British 100 metres champion after winning the British AAA Championships title at the 2000 AAA Championships, whch qualified her to compete at the 2000 Olympic Games.^[6][7][8]

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Richardson represented Great Britain in the 100 metres and 4 x 100 metres relay events.^[9]
