Nawrocki is a homegrown product of SV Werder Bremen's youth system, joining the club at the age of 5.[4] He progressed to the reserve team playing in the Regionalliga Nord,[5] and in February 2020 signed a professional contract with Werder Bremen.[4]

On 26 July 2023, Scottish Premiership side Celtic announced the signing of Nawrocki on a five-year deal,[8] for a fee reported to be over £4.3 million.[9]
