Production

In September 2024, it was announced Chang Chen would star in the film, with Lloyd Lee Choi directing from a screenplay he wrote. Destin Daniel Cretton and Nina Yang Bongiovi were set to serve as producers.^[2] The film is a full-length expansion of Choi's 2022 short film Same Old.^[2]

Principal photography began in December 2024, in New York City.^[3]
