Bisht served as the security officer for Narendra Modi during his tenure as Chief minister of Gujarat.[18] In 2022, he was interviewed by Hussain Zaidi about his life,[19] career and experiences as an intelligence operative for the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).[20][21] Bisht was part of the security detail for US President Barack Obama[22] during his visit to India on 8 November[23] 2010. He has worked with various government security agencies, including the National Security Guard, Indian Army, Research and Analysis Wing, Special Forces and Assam Rifles, leading missions across multiple countries.[24][25][26][27]
Bisht made his entry into the Indian film industry as a writer in 2019.[28][29][30] A book on his life, titled R.A.W.
