Love in the Villa is a 2022 American romantic comedy film written, directed and produced by Mark Steven Johnson.[1] It stars Kat Graham, Tom Hopper, and Raymond Ablack.[2]

A third-grade teacher Julie is fascinated with Verona because it's a setting for William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet. As she is getting ready for her long-awaited trip to Verona, her boyfriend Brandon abruptly ends his relationship with her and now Julie must therefore travel alone.[3]
On arrival at the reserved villa, she finds the villa has been double-booked and she must share the place with a wine expert named Charlie.[4] As they spend time together, they begin to fall in love.
Ryan Shore composed the original score for the film.
The film was released on September 1, 2022 on Netflix.
Love in the Villa mostly received negative reviews from film critics. It holds a 33% approval rating on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, based on 21 reviews.[5] Prateek Sur of Outlook India gave it a rating of 2/5.[6] Adrian Horton of Guardian also gave it a rating of 2/5 and calls it an "immediately forgettable Netflix romcom."[7]
Ryan Shore received a 2023 Music+Sound Awards Best Original Feature Score nomination. [8]
This movie was nominated for the Best Music Supervision for a Non-Theatrically Released Film at 13th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards.[9]
