Early life and education
Prince Lorenzo Borghese was born on 9 June 1972 in Milan, Italy to Prince Francesco and Amanda Borghese.[1] The family moved to Short Hills, New Jersey in 1979.[2] In 1991, Lorenzo graduated from Pomfret School in Pomfret, Connecticut.[3]
In 1995, he graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. During his time as an undergraduate, he was initiated into the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.[4] In 2001, he earned an MBA from the Fordham Graduate School of Business.[5][6]
Business
He is the founder of the Royal Treatment line, a skincare brand for pets distributed in U.S. retail stores through the television network HSN.[7] He also serves as managing partner at LB2, LLC, an Italian private-label company that supplies products to department stores and retail outlets.[8]
Reality television
In the fall of 2006, Borghese starred in the ninth season of ABC's reality show The Bachelor.[9]
In the summer of 2009, Borghese announced he would appear on a web reality show titled America's Next Princess. The show was to coincide with the launch of Royal Pet Club,[10] an online shopping website for his Royal Treatment pet products.[11] However, when the show debuted online on August 17, 2009, all the contestants were revealed to be dogs.[12]
In August and September 2012, he appeared on the 10th season of Celebrity Big Brother UK and was evicted from the house on Day 22, ultimately finishing in 8th place.[13]
Personal life
On July 16, 2024, Borghese posted on Instagram that he asked for his girlfriend, Dasha Melgarejo, to marry him.[14]
