He was loaned out to Conference North club Vauxhall Motors in January 2008.[1] He made his debut in their 2–0 defeat away at Redditch United.[2] After a successful loan period with Vauxhall, Rigby signed a permanent deal with the club at the end of the 2007–08 season,[1] before being taken on trial by League One club Stockport County and eventually signing a permanent contract.[1]
