The barque was sunk in a collision with Peter H. Crovell (flag unknown) in the Atlantic Ocean in 17 fathoms (102 ft; 31 m) of water 20 miles (32 km) off Barnegat, New Jersey. Three killed. Her masts were removed with explosives on 17 May as a hazard to navigation by a crew from USRC Mohawk.[13][14] |
