Lessona is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Biella in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northeast of Turin and about 12 kilometres (7 mi) east of Biella. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,487 and an area of 11.7 square kilometres (4.5 sq mi).[2]
