Kletsky District (Russian: Кле́тский райо́н) is an administrative[1] district (raion), one of the thirty-three in Volgograd Oblast, Russia. Municipally, it is incorporated as Kletsky Municipal District.[4] It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,580 square kilometers (1,380 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a stanitsa) of Kletskaya.[2] Population: 17,858 (2010 Census);[3] 19,541 (2002 Census);[6] 18,412 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Kletskaya accounts for 29.8% of the district's total population.[3]
