Service history

Singa was built by Lürrsen-Werft, fitted out by PT PAL and launched in 2000. The ship was commissioned in 2000.

On 22 April 2021, she was deployed off Bali in search for KRI Nanggala (402), which went missing off the waters of Bali during a torpedo drill.[1][2] The navy had deployed six additional ships to the area which were KRI Dr. Soeharso, KRI Hasan Basri, KRI Karel Satsuit Tubun, KRI Singa, KRI Hiu and KRI Layang.[3]
