2018 board game From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Just One is a cooperative party game for 3 to 7 players, designed by Ludovic Roudy and Bruno Sautter and published by Repos Production in 2018. In each round of the game, players write down a one word clue for the round's guesser, who must figure out the secret word for the round. Identical clues are discarded before the guesser sees them.

Just One won the 2019 Spiel des Jahres award for the best board game of the year.[1]
The game is played over 13 rounds, as indicated by the number of cards drawn before the game, during which players give one-word clues to the round's guesser to help the guesser figure out the hidden word for the round. At the start of each round, a card is drawn from the deck to be placed in front of the guesser, facing towards all other players. The guesser then says the number from 1 to 5 to determine which hidden word other players must give a clue for. Duplicate clues are removed before the guesser gets to see all the clues,[2] so giving clues which are too obvious is inadvisable.[3] A right guess scores a point while a wrong one removes a card from the deck, but the guesser can choose to pass, allowing players to proceed to the next round without losing a card. A typical game takes about 20 minutes, with players trying to score as high as possible over the game's rounds.[4]
Just One won the 2019 Spiel Des Jahres award,[5] with the jury saying the game was ingenious for its simplicity.[6] The game was also nominated for the 2018 Golden Geek awards in the Party category.[7]
