James Russell Ahern (born February 26, 1949) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour.

Early life
Ahern was born in Duluth, Minnesota. He attended Oklahoma State University.
Professional career
In 1972, Ahern turned professional. He toiled in relative obscurity on the PGA Tour in the 1970s, never finishing higher than ninth in 60 tournaments. He lost his card at the end of the 1975 season.[1]
Ahern became the head pro at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club in 1980 and five years later founded Executive Golf Ltd., a golf concierge firm that arranges weekend golf instruction retreats for high-end and Fortune 500 clients.[1]
Ahern joined the Senior PGA Tour after turning 50 in February 1999 and has two wins on this circuit.
