Fielding was born in League City, Texas where he attended high school at Clear Creek High School and later transferred to IMG Academy. In Fielding's senior season, he had a long field goal of 50 yards, he also converted 91 percent of his kickoffs for touchbacks.[1] Fielding would decide to commit to play college football at Ohio State University as a preferred walk-on.[2][3]
In Fielding's first career season in 2022 as a true freshman, he handled kickoff duties in all 13 games for the Buckeyes.[4] Fielding would open the 2023 season as, Ohio State's starting kicker after previous starter Noah Ruggles graduated, and as he beat out Parker Lewis for the job.[5][6] In Fielding's first career start at kicker, he would go three for three on his field goal attempts and two for two on extra points, as he helped the Buckeyes beat Indiana.[7] In week six, Fielding would make all three of his field goal attempts, and all four of his extra point attempts in a win over Maryland.[8]
