2019 South Korean television series From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Item (Korean: 아이템; RR: Aitem) is a 2019 South Korean television series based on the KakaoPage webtoon series of the same name[1] and set to be a mystery fantasy drama.[4][5] It stars Ju Ji-hoon, Jin Se-yeon, Kim Kang-woo and Kim Yoo-ri. It aired on MBC from February 11 to April 2, 2019.[6][7]

Synopsis
A prosecutor and a criminal profiler work together in their attempts to decipher the secrets behind various mysterious items which have special powers.

- A criminal profiler who possesses a lot of skills, and, even when confronted with shocking crime scenes, stays composed.
- Kim Kang-woo as Jo Se-hwang[10]
- The vice chairman of the Hwawon Group who is also a sociopath that collects items with supernatural powers by using his power and wealth. He murders anyone who tries to get in his way.
- Kim Yoo-ri as Han Yoo-na[11]
- A prosecutor who becomes Jo Se-hwang's informant for the sake of her father.

Production
The first script reading was held on September 20, 2018 with the attendance of cast and crew at the MBC in Sangam-dong. The author of the original webtoon was also present.[20][21][22]
The lead couple Ju Ji-hoon and Jin Se-yeon previously worked together in the 2012 Five Fingers drama series.[22]

Notes
- In order to circumvent Korean laws that prevent commercial breaks in the middle of an episode, what would previously have been aired as single 70 minute episodes are now being repackaged as two 35 minute episodes, with two episodes being shown each night with a commercial break between the two.[3]
