A second season was announced at the ending of the first season finale and premiered on January 14, 2020.[12] The main production staff members returned to reprise their respective roles.[13] The season includes guest appearances of characters from The Rising of the Shield Hero.[14] Hino, Fukushima, Kobayashi and Yūki perform the second season's opening theme song "Isekai Showtime" (異世界ショータイム, Isekai Shōtaimu), while Sumire Uesaka, Rie Takahashi, Inori Minase, and Saori Hayami perform the second season's ending theme song, "Ponkotsu!
