Ibrahim Makama Misau is a Nigerian politician, businessman, and retired Superintendent of Police (SP).

History

Makama served as a United Nations Police monitor in two missions: the United Nations Civilian Police and the United Nations Police Support Group in the Eastern Baranja Region of Croatia.[citation needed] He was awarded two United Nations Medals.[citation needed]

Makama served as aide-de-camp (ADC) to the Governors of Bauchi State and Kano State.[citation needed] As a General Duty Police Officer, he served as Divisional Crime Officer, Officer in Charge of the Police Management Services Department of the Kano State Police Command, and Staff Officer at the same Command.[citation needed] He voluntarily retired from the Police in 2005 after 11 years of service.[citation needed]

After retiring, Makama entered politics and was elected as a member of the Member of the House of Representatives representing the Misau/Dambam Federal Constituency of Bauchi State.[1] He served on the Police Affairs Committee and the National Security Committee from 2007 to 2011.[2] He is a director for several companies.[3]
