Herbert Arthur Jones was Dean of Manchester in the third quarter of the 20th century.[1]

Born in 1882, the son of a joiner and carpenter, he was educated at Birmingham University. He was ordained in 1917 and began his career with curacies at St Paul's Church, Balsall Heath[2] and St Agatha's Church, Sparkbrook.[3] He was then Vicar of All Saints' Small Heath[4] after that Provost of Leicester Cathedral[5] before entering the Deanery.[6] He died on 17 February 1969.[7]
