Hanif Sanket (born 23 October 1958)[1] born as A.K.M. Hanif is a Bangladeshi television host, writer, producer, comedian, voice actor and singer.[2] He is best known as the creator and host of the television show Ityadi. He is regarded as the most popular media personality in Bangladesh.[3]

Career
Sanket first appeared in television on a show Jodi Kichhu Mone Na Koren in the 1980s.[4] Later, he moved on to create his own TV show Ityadi, which successfully pioneered televised comedy program in Bangladesh and went on to become the most popular TV show in the country.[5][6] He also produces drama during Eid seasons.[7][8]
Sanket also produced other shows - Jhalak, Kothar Kotha, Eid Annondo Mela, Prothom Alo Awards Program, Bangla Vision 6th Anniversary Programs.[9][10]
Social Contribution
For 30 years, he has raised a strong voice against the prevailing inconsistencies of society in Ityadi. Each episode describes and opposes contemporary scandals in a somewhat humorous but visually appealing manner. So every survey in the country, including BBC, has shown that it is the best TV show in the country, and 75 percent of the TV viewers in the country watch this show. [11]

Personal life
Sanket's father Abdul Hakim Hawladar was a police officer. Sanket grew up with 2 older brothers, 1 older sister and 2 younger sisters. His younger sister Jahanara Begum died on 31 December 2022, due to brain hemorrhage.
Sanket is married to Sanjida Hanif. He has one son Sadman Rafid Fagun and one daughter, Sindida Hanif Bornona. In 2022, Sanket threw a big wedding for his son Fagun where several prominent figures such as Zahid Hasan, Sadia Islam Mou, Mir Sabbir, Tanvin Sweety, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Tareen Jahan, Chanchal Chowdhury, Deepa Khandakar, Kumar Bishwajit, Sabrina Shafi Nisa, Robi Chowdhury, Dilshad Nahar Kona and many more people attended the wedding.
