Emerson Nieto

Emerson Nieto (born October 3, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for USL League Two club Corpus Christi FC.

Career

On May 14, 2019, it was announced that Nieto would join USL Championship side Indy Eleven on an academy contract.[1] The academy contract would keep Nieto college eligible for 2020, where he has committed to playing college soccer at Indiana University.[2]

He made his professional debut on June 26, 2019, appearing as an injury-time substitute during a 3–0 win over Birmingham Legion.[3]

After three seasons at the University of Indiana, Nieto transferred to the IUPUI Jaguars in January 2023.[4]

Nieto played for Sarasota Paradise during the 2024 USL League Two season, before transferring to the Indiana Institute of Technology.[5]

In 2025 Nieto joined Corpus Christi FC ahead of their participation in the 2025 U.S. Open Cup. He played all 120 minutes in the team's extra time loss to Chattanooga FC.[6]
