ⓘ (Chinese: 岱山; pinyin: Dàishān) is a county under the jurisdiction of Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. It covers a land area of 324.13 square kilometres (125 square miles) and has a population of 200,000. The postal code is 316200, and the county seat is located on 88 Renmin Road, Gaoting Town.

The county is located in East China Sea in northeast Zhejiang. It comprises a series of islands with Daishan Island forming the main part of the county. Daishan Island has a fishing port, and shipbuilding and ship refitting facilities. The island has several museums including salt, marine life, typhoon and lighthouse museums.[citation needed]

Daishan County Public Security Bureau
The primary law enforcement agency in Daishan County is the Daishan County Public Security Bureau (Chinese: 岱山县公安局).[1] The incumbent director of the Daishan County Public Security Bureau is Miao Lin, and the incumbent political commissar is Luo Haiting.[1] As of 2024, the agency operated 65 vehicles, 54 of which were patrol cars and 11 of which were specialist vehicles.[2] The agency budget in 2024 was 15.7 Million Renminbi, a 0.2% increase over 15.4 million Renminbi in 2023.[2]
Organization and Structure
The Daishan County PSB operates 7 police stations (in each town) and 1 Jail.[1] It is also contains a forestry unit, a marine/anti-smuggling unit, an armory, a traffic police unit, a narcotics unit, a patrol unit, a forensics unit, an investigation unit, a SWAT/K9 unit, an economic crime unit and an Intelligence unit (which is in charge of the county dispatcher).[1]
People's Armed Police Daishan County Company
The Daishan County Company (Chinese: 人民武装警察部隊岱山县中队) of the People's Armed Police Zhoushan Detachment[3] provides paramilitary law enforcement and disaster relief in the county.[4][5]
Daishan County Fire and Rescue Battalion
Fire services in the County are provided by the Daishan County Fire and Rescue Battalion (Chinese: 岱山县消防救援大队).[6][4] As of December 31, 2023, the County Fire and Rescue Battalion had 38 civilian employees and 56 firefighters.[6][5] In 2023, the agency had a budget of 17.6 million Renminbi, a 24.9% increase from 14.3 million Renminbi in 2022.[6] As of December 31, 2023, the agency operated 16 vehicles, 3 of which were fire engines and 13 of which were specialist vehicles.[6]
