On 16 March 2023, a branch of Line 2, known as El Ramal (English: the branch), connecting Corredor Sur and Aeropuerto was opened.[2] There are no through trains to Aeropuerto, the trains start at Corredor Sur.[4] The adjacent station is ITSE.[2]

At the station, trains to the airport use the center track, while trains to San Miguelito and Nuevo Tocumen use the outside track. This allows passengers from any direction to transfer to the branch line.[4]
