Chris Oladokun (born September 3, 1997) is an American professional football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the South Florida Bulls, the Samford Bulldogs and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits before being selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL draft.

Early life

Oladokun was born and grew up in Tampa, Florida.[1] He initially attended Braulio Alonso High School, where he was the starting quarterback as a sophomore and junior and passed for 3,746 yards and 35 touchdowns over those two seasons.[2] Oladokun transferred to Sickles High School prior to his senior season, because a disagreement with the head coach.[3] He was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football at the University of South Florida.[4]

College career

Oladokun began his college career with the South Florida Bulls, and redshirted his true freshman season. He played in two games during his redshirt freshman season, completing one pass attempt for 12 yards and rushing once for one yard.[2] Oladokun started three games as a redshirt sophomore and completed 22 of 44 pass attempts for 285 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. After the season, Oladokun announced that he would be transferring to play for the Samford Bulldogs.[5]

Oladokun played in all 12 of the Bulldogs' games and started eight in his first season with the team and passed for 2,064 yards and 18 touchdowns with seven interceptions and rushed for 493 yards and eight touchdowns.[6] After his senior season, Oladokun transferred to play for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits as a graduate transfer.[7] In his lone season with the Jackrabbits, he passed for 3,164 yards and 25 touchdowns.[8]

Pittsburgh Steelers

Oladokun was selected in the seventh round with the 241st overall pick of the 2022 NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.[11] He was released on August 23, 2022.[12]

Kansas City Chiefs

On August 31, 2022, Oladokun was signed to the practice squad of the Kansas City Chiefs.[13][14] Oladokun won his first Super Bowl when the Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.[15] On February 15, 2023, Oladokun signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs.[16]

Oladokun was waived by the Chiefs as part of final roster cuts on August 31, 2023. He was signed to the practice squad the following day.[17] He was elevated via a standard elevation before the Chiefs week 18 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. It was the first game of his career he was active for, but he did not play. He reverted back to the practice squad after the game.[18] Oladokun won his second straight Super Bowl when the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.[19]

Oladokun was waived by the Chiefs on August 27, 2024.[20] He was re-signed to the practice squad on October 22, 2024.[21] Oladokun was a game day elevation for Kansas City in their season finale against the Denver Broncos. He made his NFL debut in the game, logging five offensive snaps, which included one rush for five yards.[22] Oladokun signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs on February 11, 2025.[23]

On August 26, 2025, Oladokun was waived by the Chiefs as part of final roster cuts and re-signed to the practice squad the next day.[24][25]

Personal life

Oladokun is the older brother of current NFL cornerback, Jordan Oladokun.[26]
