Charles Walter Simpson (English artist)

Charles Walter Simpson RI (8 May 1885 3 October 1971) was an English painter. He was born in Camberley, Surrey, England.[2] Simpson lived in Lamorna, Cornwall, in the early 1910s, and returned there in the 1930s, earning a reputation as an animal and bird painter.[3] He exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1948,[2] and his work was part of the art competitions at four Olympic Games.[4] An exhibition of his work was held at Penlee House Gallery and Museum in 2005.[2] From 1913 until her death in 1964, he was married to the artist Ruth Simpson.
