Bukharinism (Russian: Бухаринизм, romanized: Bukharinizm) is the political ideology and branch of Marxism developed by Russian revolutionary and intellectual Nikolai Bukharin.[1][2][3] Bukharinism is a form of market socialism[4] and Bukharin is sometimes known as the "father of market socialism".[5] Bukharin held that the markets and central planning must complement each other.[6] For a brief period the "Official Bolshevism" was Bukharinist.[7]
