Bhog is an upcoming Bengali supernatural thriller web series,[3] directed by Parambrata Chattopadhyay based on the same name story written by Avik Sarkar.[4][3][5] The series is scheduled to be released on Bengali language OTT platform Hoichoi on 1 May 2025.[6][7][8] The story Bhog was also adapted in another feature film by director Rajorshi Dey, titled as Purba Paschim Dakshin Uttar Asbei.[9][10]
Plot
A lone bachelor Atin buys a mysterious brass idol from a curio shop of Park Street. It is the statue of an unknown goddess, whose worship method Atin does not know. His close friends and maid Pushpa di warn him from worshipping it. Incidentally, that is the goddess Matangi of Tantra. Meanwhile, a helpless widow Damari seeks shelter and Atin lets her stay at his house. After that Pushpa di disappears and Atin becomes indifferent to his own life, sacrificing everything for the goddess. Atin does not realise that worshipping this idol without knowing the correct method will lead to extreme disaster.[11][12][13][14]
