Berlingozzo

Berlingozzo is a typical Carnival cake from Lamporecchio, in the province of Pistoia, Italy.^[1] It is a simple ring-shaped cake, flavored with anise, and has its origins in the time of the Medici.^{[citation needed]} The name derives from berlingaccio, a term that indicated Fat Thursday.^[2]
