BWF World Senior Championships

The BWF World Senior Championships is a badminton tournament for players aged 35 and older sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). The winners will be crowned as the "World Senior Champions" and awarded gold medals.^[1] However, it does not offer any prize money. The tournament started in 2003 and being held biennially.

The location of the 2025 championships is not yet decided. It was awarded to Auckland (New Zealand) but they have withdrawn. A new bidding process was initiated by BWF in June 2024. ^[2]
