BCCI domestic teams

Indian domestic cricket teams From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

BCCI Domestic Teams are the 38 regional and institutional cricket teams that compete in India’s official domestic cricket competitions, governed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). These teams represent various Indian states, union territories, and government bodies such as Indian Railways and Indian Armed Forces' Services.

They participate across all major domestic formats, including the Ranji Trophy (first-class), Vijay Hazare Trophy (List A), and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20). The team structure ensures both historically strong cricketing regions and emerging areas—particularly from North East India—have opportunities to compete at a national level and develop cricketing talent.[1]
