Apostolic Nunciature to Lithuania

The Apostolic Nunciature to Lithuania is an ecclesiastical office of the Catholic Church in Lithuania.[1] It is a diplomatic post of the Holy See, whose representative is called the Apostolic Nuncio with the rank of an ambassador. The Apostolic Nuncio to Lithuania is usually also the Apostolic Nuncio to Estonia and Latvia as well.

    • He supported the local clergy's struggle to protect the independence of the lay Catholic organization Catholic Action from government control. For this he was declared persona non grata and expelled from the country in the summer of 1931.[4]
