Ana Nogueira

Ana Nogueira (born May 2, 1985) is an American actress, playwright, and screenwriter. She is known for her roles as Sarah on Sarah + Dee and Penny Ares on The Vampire Diaries. She originated the role of Eliza Hamilton in the original Vassar workshop production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's stage musical Hamilton.

She recently started collaborating with James Gunn on his DC Comics Cinematic Universe, screenwriting the film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (2026) and an untitled Teen Titans film.^[2][3]

Early life

Nogueira grew up in East Falls, Philadelphia, and attended Friends' Central School.^[4] She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2007.^[5]
