Alqchin Rural District

Alqchin Rural District (Persian: دهستان الغچين) is in the Central District[a] of Charam County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, Iran.[3][4] Its capital is the village of Alqchin-e Olya.[5]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Charam District[b] of Kohgiluyeh County) was 5,775 in 1,105 households.[6] There were 5,501 inhabitants in 1,330 households at the following census of 2011,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Charam County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 5,215 in 1,442 households. The most populous of its 18 villages was Bardian, with 1,751 people.[2]
