Porel has played in sixteen first-class matches to the end of the 2022/23 season. He has dismissed 66 batters with 58 catches and eight stumped. He also played in fourteen T20s to October 2023 (five caught).[1][2]

Personal Life

He is the cousin of Indian seam bowler Ishan Porel.[3]

Indian Premier League

In the 2023 IPL, he was brought in by Delhi Capitals as a replacement for injured Rishabh Pant. He played 4 games, scored a total of 33 runs at an average of 8.25 and strike rate of 106.45.

In the 2024 IPL, he was retained by Delhi Capitals. He played all 14 league games, scored a total of 327 runs at an average of 32.70 with two 50s. His strike rate was 159.51.

On Oct 31, 2024, Abhishek was retained by Delhi Capitals as uncapped player for 4 cr. He was one of the 4 players retained by DC.
