2027 Virginia Senate election

The 2027 Virginia Senate election will take place on November 2, 2027. All 40 seats in the Virginia Senate are up for election. Prior to the election 21 Senate seats were held by Democrats and 19 seats were held by Republicans.[1]

Republicans represented four districts won by Harris in 2024: Districts 12 (Glen Sturtevant, Harris +0.17%), 17 (Emily Jordan, Harris +4.65%), 24 (Danny Diggs, Harris +8.13%), and 27 (Tara Durant, Harris +3.08%).
