Yuzawa (湯沢市, Yuzawa-shi) is a city located in Akita Prefecture, Japan. The total area of the city is 790.91 km2 (305.37 sq mi). Yuzawa claims to be the birthplace of the famous Heian period poet Ono no Komachi.
