Ramírez was born in Añasco, Puerto Rico.[10] She began writing poetry while attending a Catholic school in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.[10]
In 2018, she started rapping her lyrics to beats she downloaded from YouTube.[10] Ramírez uploaded these initial songs to SoundCloud under the name Young Miko.[10][11] Her first song was "Quiero".[11] Meanwhile, she worked as a tattoo artist for 4 years to pay bills and music studio costs.[10]
In 2022, Ramírez released her debut EP, Trap Kitty, featuring Latin trap tracks.[10] She incorporates her identity and interests into her music including anime, urban music, and The Powerpuff Girls.[12] On July 27, 2023, her reggaeton song "Classy 101" reached number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her first appearance on the chart.[11]
