Yelm School District, also known as Yelm Community Schools, is a public school district in Thurston County, Washington, United States, which serves the city of Yelm.

In 2021, Yelm School District had a student enrollment of 5,443.[1]

In 2024, after two local school levies failed, the school district laid off more than 200 staff positions. In addition, class sizes have increased across all schools in the district, and student activities have been forced to rely on fundraising for survival. In 2025, another school levy vote had failed, school board members and superintendent continue to blame voters for the failed levy. While the schools report card continues to decline and lack of clarity on budget spending and parents concerns of what is being taught to the students. The school district still declared no responsibility for the failed levies.
