Yegorlyksky District (Russian: Егорлы́кский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,460 square kilometers (560 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a stanitsa) of Yegorlykskaya.[1] Population: 35,733 (2010 Census);[3] 36,996 (2002 Census);[6] 33,378 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Yegorlykskaya accounts for 49.4% of the district's total population.[3]
