Wilhelm Sulpiz Kurz (5 May 1834 – 15 January 1878) was a German botanist and garden director in Bogor, West Java and Kolkata.[1] He worked in India, Indonesia, Burma, Malaysia and Singapore.[2] The standard author abbreviation Kurz is used to indicate this person as the author when citing a botanical name.[3]
