Voskresensky District (Russian: Воскре́сенский райо́н) is an administrative^[1] and municipal^[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-six in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 812.480 square kilometers (313.700 sq mi).^[2] Its administrative center is the town of Voskresensk.^[1] Population: 153,600 (2010 Census);^[3] 152,761 (2002 Census);^[6] 77,573 (1989 Soviet census).^[7] The population of Voskresensk accounts for 59.5% of the district's total population.^[3]
