Vladimir Portnoy (June 9, 1931 – February 19, 1984)[1] was a Soviet gymnast.[2] He is Jewish, and was born in Odessa.[2][3][4][5][6]

Portnoy won a silver medal for the Soviet Union at the 1960 Olympics in Rome in team combined gymnastics.[2][3][7][8] He won a bronze medal in the long horse at the same Olympics, behind Takashi Ono (gold) and Boris Shakhlin (silver).[5][9]
