Inverloch is a popular tourist destination, particularly for surfers, kitesurfers, windsurfers and fishers. Inverloch is located close to Australia’s southernmost stand of mangroves.
The town was first named Andersons Inlet (after Samuel Anderson, the first European to settle here) and was later renamed Inverloch after Loch Inver (Lake Entrance) in Scotland.
Inverloch has a local surf lifesaving club.
