You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Assyrian war of independence requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.aina.org/books/fla/fla.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Except in regards to including them as a belligerent against Iran and Hezbollah (periodic airstrikes), I know you have been always an opponent of inserting Israel, for various reasons, in the infobox as a country that supports the rebels. If you are still opposing the inclusion, despite the number of sources supporting it, fine, I won't argue. Leave it removed if you will. Except on a few ongoing topics/articles on Wikipedia I have semi-retired from it anyway. Cheers and good editing!:) EkoGraf (talk) 08:29, 4 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi, Greyshark09. I have noticed where you have made constructive edits on the article Israel–Palestine relations. With that said, I have also noticed a few grammatical mistakes and errors in the section entitled "Politics", within that article, and which, although not made by you, perhaps can be fixed by you. Currently, the first paragraph in that sections reads as follows:
The political relationship is rooted in conflict between Israel and Palestine. The conflict is over whether or not Palestinians should be able to form its own separate country in government within a part of land that currently belongs to Israel. Palestine, in the years before 1948, was piece of land surrounded by the Jordan River, Egypt, the Mediterranean Sea, Syria and Lebanon.[12] The battle over this specific area of land has arisen due to contrasting views on who has a valid claim to the land. According to Jews, the Hebrew Bible states that Palestine has been promised to them by God. They believe that modern day Palestine was ancient Israel. However, Palestinian Arabs are unwilling and unable to acknowledge their claim of Israel. Palestinians believe that because they maintained control of the land, it should stay in their possession. The continual conflict between Israel and Palestine regarding their inability to acknowledge the other's claims to territory has resulted in many years of violence and instability in the region.
The paragraph should be corrected to read as follows:
The political relationship is rooted in conflict between Israel and Palestine. The conflict revolves around whether or not Palestinians should be able to form their own separate country and government within a part of land that currently belongs to Israel. Palestine, in the years before 1948, was a territory surrounded by the Jordan River, Egypt, the Mediterranean Sea, Syria and Lebanon.[1] The battle over this specific area of land has arisen due to contrasting views on who has a valid claim to the land. The Israeli government views the territories it won in the Six-Day War of 1967 as vital to its security.[2] Besides security considerations, it cites the fact that Jews have lived in Judea-Samaria (the West Bank) and Gaza Strip continuously for 4000 years since Biblical times and throughout the centuries since then.[2] Palestinian Arabs, for their part, are unwilling to acknowledge the claims of Israel. The continual conflict between Israel and Palestine regarding their inability to acknowledge the other's claims to territory has resulted in many years of violence and instability in the region.
The revision would make its reading flow easier, besides correcting the grammatical mistakes and providing additional sourcing. Hopefully, the above edit will greatly improve that article.

Hi there. I noticed you removed all "alleged" belligerents and changed several instances of "Syrian government" to "Baathist Syria". Regarding Wikipedia:Alleged, I don't think that applies here. This is an article covering participants in a conflict, not a specific individual or organization accused of a crime. Many Wiki articles covering conflicts use "alleged" if the party in question has not acknowledged its participation; perhaps we should add who is doing the alleging and if the party in question has issued a denial? As for "Baathist Syria", I don't think this is an appropriate term to use on this article. The Syrian government under Assad are still widely recognized as the government of Syria, and even in countries that have formally recognized the Syrian Interim Government, the press uses the term "Syrian government" to describe Assad. "Baathist Syria" may be accurate, but it's a politically charged term. If the SIG were listed at List of states with limited recognition, it might be appropriate to distinguish between different internationally-recognized governments in Syria, but see that page's exclusion section: "Those areas undergoing current civil wars and other situations with problems over government succession, regardless of temporary alignment with the inclusion criteria (e.g. by receiving recognition as state or legitimate government), where the conflict is still in its active phase, the situation is too rapidly changing and no relatively stable proto-states have emerged yet." I think that same standard should apply here. Or at the very least, we should use "the Assad government" instead. What do you think? Bulbajer (talk) 20:52, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
I would prefer the official name Syrian Arab Republic for all instances, which correlates with Ba'athist Syria as a common descriptory name for the state instituions (such as Ba'athist Iraq) - Council of Ministers or Syrian Ba'athist government for the government and for its Army we use the official term Syrian Armed Forces. Using "Syrian government" for SAA fighting force is incorrect and misleading - both because the government is not the military force, but commands a military force, and secondly because we have several governments in Syria. To the least we should use Syrian Arab Republic, Syrian Arab Republic's government and Syrian Armed Forces to describe Assad state, Assad government and Assad's Army; I would not go for "Assad's" as common name because it is not official terming and we have not used such terms for Iraqi government and military during Saddam's era (i.e. Saddam's government and Saddam's Army).GreyShark (dibra) 06:07, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Okay. I've changed some of the instances of "Baathist Syria" to "Syrian Arab Republic". What about the "alleged" section? Israel's involvement in particularly is pretty well documented. Bulbajer (talk) 18:53, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
You mean Israel and Lebanon? Both were agreed to be listed in Foreign involvement in the Syrian Civil War under "Role of regional states" section, both not being belligerents per definition.GreyShark (dibra) 05:30, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello:)
I am writing my MA dissertation on Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict, and I noticed that you have contributed to those pages. My dissertation will look at the process of collaborative knowledge production on the Israel-Palestine conflict, and the effect it has on bias in the articles. This will involve understanding the profiles and motivations of editors, contention/controversy and dispute resolution in the talk pages, and bias in the final article.
For more information, you can check out my meta-wiki research page or my user page, where I will be posting my findings when I am done.
I would greatly appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to fill out this quick surveybefore 8 August 2021.
Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and anonymous. There are no foreseeable risks nor benefits to you associated with this project.

Hello Greyshark. I am proposing the deletion of an article you started, the Sidon Eyalet revolt (1834). Although I would support sub-articles for specific battles or incidents of the Peasants' revolt in Palestine, such as 1834 looting of Safed and Siege of Jerusalem (1834), if there's enough sourced content for them, this article would not meet the criteria. It is not discussed as a separate/parallel event or as a single event in the sources. And it is not about a particular incident, but rather different incidents and events that occurred in different parts of the Galilee. That the Galilee was administratively part of Sidon and the rest of Palestine was administratively part of Damascus is just a formality in this case. The sources describe the events in Safed, Nablus, Jerusalem, Hebron, Salt, and elsewhere in Palestine/Transjordan as the same revolt, unlike those launched against Egyptian conscription, disarmament and taxation in the same year or few years by the Druze and the Alawites in other parts of the Levant. This is one of the notable facts of the revolt. It would be synthesis or even original research to have an article on a “Sidon Eyalet revolt” or “Sidon Province revolt” or a “1834 Galilee revolt” because there is no basis for such an article in the sources. Al Ameer (talk) 03:48, 19 September 2021 (UTC)
We have an ongoing debate about the content of the summary and the infobox on the talk page. As you have some expertise in the Levant and a long experience on Wikipedia, it would be great to have your opinion.

So Id ask that you refrain from imposing that definition on our articles through edits like this. nableezy - 20:04, 1 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Greyshark09. Thank you for your work on Hamas beheading incidents. User:Alalch E., while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, Hamas beheading incidents
, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirectedto Kfar Aza massacre#Allegations of beheadings. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. II notice that you changed Timeline of the Red Sea Theater of the 2023 Israel-Hamas War to Timeline of the Red Sea crisis. However, the parent article's name change has been reverted. Would you kindly do the same to the timeline article? Once the parent article's name has been determined, the timeline article can follow suit. Thanks very much. Hi, I just created a Draft:List of Conflicts in the Land of Israel. There exist similar articles for a List of Conflicts in the Near East and a List of Conflicts in Egypt. I think it deserves to be approved, but there will likely be those who don't want the article to be approved. If you think it should be approved, please voice your input! Have a great day!
