The Spotsylvania Courthouse Historic District is located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. It is the county seat of Spotsylvania County and the site of all administrative and legislative activity. The court system has been at its present location since 1839. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in September 1983. The historic district consists of 10 significant buildings or sites including, Spotsylvania Courthouse, Spotswood Inn, Spotsylvania Jail, Christ Episcopal Church, Old Berea Christian Church, Zion United Methodist Church, and a One-room school.[2]
